Alliance of the German Science Organizations

In June 2008, the Alliance of the German Science Organizations launched their new priority initiative "Digital Information", which is aimed at the establishment of an integrated digital research environment in the period of 2008 - 2012. The partners within the Alliance of German Science Organizations are committed to coordinate their basic political and professional decisions in the area of digital information and to develop joint activities in six identified target areas:

The respective working groups are coordinated by a Steering Group, in which all partners within the Alliance of German Science Organizations are represented.

  • Max Planck Society (MPG)
  • German Science Council (WR)

Role of MPDL:
As the key operator and service unit for the Max Planck Society in the domain of digital information the MPDL is representing the Max Planck Society in the Steering Group and in the working groups.
