Aim of the project: In addition to the financing by both institutions the project was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) since 2004 for a period of 5 years. The aim of the project is the development of a re-usable infrastructure and user-applications for the scientific communication and publication in research organisations. It is focused on the long-term and free access to research results and materials (publications and primary-data) as well as the support of innovative forms of scientific and multidisciplinary cooperations.
